Protest at Putin's presidency plans

Protesters gathered in Moscow today to oppose "political manoeuvres" after Russia's prime minister Vladimir Putin announced he would return as president.

Current president Dmitry Medvedev said he will back Mr Putin in March's elections. Finance minister Alexei Kudrin is stepping down in protest. Mr Putin could become the longest serving leader since Josef Stalin.
