Prince Charles's cat burglar killed

The cat burglar who broke into St James's Palace and fled with Prince Charles's jewels in 1994 has been shot dead by a gangland rival.
Renato Rinino, 41, was shot once in the head at point-blank range in front of his mother Anna and brother Paolo after the masked hitman knocked at their door in Savona, Italy.
Hours earlier Rinino had been sentenced to eight months in prison after breaching bail conditions.
