‘Price out the Rambos’ attacks

THE gunman who killed 13 people and injured four at a New York immigration centre by firing 98 shots from two handguns in little more than a minute, has been described by an expert as a "new Rambo" and warns measures need to be taken to stop violence.

Gun control advocates said if Jiverly Wong could afford the satchel of bullets he had around his neck on unemployment benefits, the price of ammunition should be raised.

Jackie Hilly, from New Yorkers Against Gun Violence, said: "If you raised the price, you would probably discourage violence."
