The millionaire star also revealed
that his pop star wife Victoria and
their two children would be moving
out to Spain to join him.

‘I have a long-term commitment to
Real and to my life in Spain,’ he said
in a statement.

‘I’ve been here for one season and
it feels like the job’s not done yet.

‘The support that I have received
from the fans has been amazing and I
would like to see them repaid with
success. Victoria shares my vision of
our life here together.’

Beckham faced allegations of affairs
since moving to Madrid last summer
while his wife remained in England.

After a good start at Real, he had a
poor second part of the season and
there was speculation he could return
to England to play for Chelsea.

The couple have taken a new lease
on a Spanish property and Brooklyn
will be enrolled at a Spanish school.

Victoria said: ‘The time is now right
for the children to move to Madrid
and we are all looking forward to it
enormously.’

The couple have made a public
show of unity since revelations
emerged last month of Beckham’s
alleged affairs.

Claims by his former personal
assistant, Rebecca Loos, that they

had a fling in Madrid last year were
followed by allegations from model
Sarah Marbeck that she bedded the
footballer in 2001.

Beckham called the claims
ludicrous, absurd and unsubstantiated.

He will captain England in next
month’s Euro 2004 championships.
