Parents in 'balloon boy' hoax jailed

THE parents behind the "balloon boy" hoax have been sentenced to jail and are forbidden from earning money from the stunt for four years.

Richard Heene, 48, was sentenced to 90 days while his wife, Mayumi, 45, was sentenced to 20 days in jail at a Colorado court.

In October the Heenes falsely reported that their son Falcon, six, had floated off in a balloon for a publicity stunt.
