Now Ryanair soars ahead of British Airways

Ryanair says it will carry 35 million passengers this year, overtaking British Airways for the first time.

Michael O'Leary, chief executive of the short-haul budget airline - which is celebrating its 20th birthday with profits up 19 per cent at ?183million - said: "The world's favourite airline is being overtaken by the world's lowest price airline. Now there's a thing."
