Northern line to shut early for tests

13 April 2012

Both central London sections of the Northern line will close from about 10.30 tonight for line testing. Tube tickets will be accepted on some connecting bus routes.

Trains will still run from East Finchley to High Barnet or Mill Hill East, Golders Green to Edgware and Stockwell to Morden. Normal services will be restored tomorrow after tests in the Camden Town area.

Meanwhile, Tube chiefs have had more than 3,000 suggestions in a contest for ways to keep trains cool during the summer.
