Met ‘failed to help’ death pact women

The Independent Police Complaints Commission is investigating claims that officers failed to adequately respond to complaints of harassment made by two women who killed themselves.

The pair, named locally as prostitutes Chemaine Chevlene, 31, and Jaime Perlman, 26, were found dead in a fume-filled flat in Putney. They said they were being harassed by different men.

A detective constable has been suspended on suspicion of gross misconduct.
