Martha wants case dropped

LAWYERS for Martha Stewart have asked a judge to dismiss charges that she hindered an investigation into her sale of shares in ImClone Systems, a biotech run by one of her friends.

The US lifestyle trend-setter is due to face trial early next year on charges of securities fraud, conspiracy, obstruction of justice and making false statements to investigators looking into the trades.
