A man arrested after police seized a haul of cocaine, believed to have a street value of up to £3 million, will appear in court today.

Benson Offia, 43, of no fixed abode, stands charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.

He was arrested after nine kilos of cocaine were uncovered by the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit (Ersou) last Thursday.

The haul was seized after officers from Hertfordshire Constabulary's ANPR Intercept Team stopped a vehicle travelling on the M11 near Bishop's Stortford, and other officers from Ersou searched a property in London.

Offia will appear at Harlow Magistrates' Court today.
