A man will appear in court today charged with the murder of a teenage girl who was shot in the neck at a takeaway restaurant.

Agnes Sina-Inakoju, 16, was shot as she stood with a group of her friends inside the fast food outlet in east London last Wednesday evening.

Leon Dunkley, 21, of Hackney, was charged with the murder last night and will appear before City of Westminster Magistrates' Court today.

Police were called to the Hoxton Chicken and Pizza fast food outlet in Hoxton Street, Hackney, shortly after 7pm.

The victim was taken by ambulance to an east London hospital but died on Friday morning.

A post-mortem examination carried out at Poplar mortuary gave the cause of death as a gunshot wound.

A 16-year-old boy who was also arrested in connection with the murder was released on bail to return in June.
