Macca is Glasto headliner

Sir Paul McCartney was today confirmed as the headline act at the Glastonbury Festival.

He will share the stages of Pilton fields in Somerset between 25 and 27 June with Oasis, Muse - and the English National Opera, bringing classical musical to the festival for the first time.

Sir Paul, playing the prestigious Saturday centre spot, will be supported by Black Eyed Peas, Starsailor and Sister Sledge. The 115,000 tickets are already sold out.
