Leslie to give TV interview

13 April 2012

Axed presenter John Leslie is giving his first TV interview today since sex charges against him were dropped.

Leslie, who was sacked from ITV1's This Morning show after a number of women made complaints against him, will appear on Channel 4's Richard and Judy show to discuss the traumatic case and his future in showbusiness.

The interview will also give Leslie a chance to chat about his forthcoming documentary, My Year of Hell, which will be broadcast on Sunday.

The tell-all video diary footage was shot as sex allegations against him were investigated by police.

It will be used in the Sky One show in which he describes the pressure he is under.

The programme tells the story from Leslie's point of view and includes interviews with his girlfriend Abi Titmuss, close friends, relatives and his legal team.

Leslie's spokesman said: "John Leslie is to give his first interview with Richard and Judy on their live Channel 4 tea-time show.

"This is in advance of his own video diary documentary."

Leslie was cleared in July after the Crown Prosecution Service dropped charges against him.

Richard and Judy will be screened at 5pm on Channel 4.
