Lawrence suspect is freed

A man being questioned in connection with the murder of black teenager Stephen Lawrence was last night released without charge.
He had been held for more than 12 hours at a police station, believed to be at Bexleyheath. Scotland Yard said the man had been bailed to return on 14 January, pending further inquiries.
Stephen, 18, was fatally stabbed by a group of attackers as he waited for a bus in Well Hall Road, Eltham in April 1993.
