Kebab-shop judge found guilty

A deputy district judge was today convicted of being drunk and disorderly in a late-night kebab shop.

David Messenger, 49, was also found guilty by magistrates in Selby of two charges of wilfully obstructing police and another of causing £188 of damage to a cell button.

The court was told Messenger called police officers "arseholes" and said their behaviour would cost them £5,000 as they marched him out of the late-night kebab shop in Scarborough in May.
