Kate lashes out at Jade

Big Brother winner Kate Lawler today took a swipe at contestant Jade Goody during a television interview.

She accused the 21-year-old fellow blonde of not being as honest about her feelings as she claimed.

Her comments came after dental nurse Jade, from Bermondsey, south London, told The Sun newspaper that she had wanted to "chin" Kate for being two-faced in the house.

But victorious Kate from Beckenham, Kent, told GMTV today: "I read in the papers this morning that apparently she wants to 'chin me'.

"But I guess my feelings were right."She goes on about being upfront with people but it just goes to show that part of my theory was right. She isn't upfront with people."

The 22-year-old, who is the first woman to win the reality TV contest, said she was attempting to adjust to her fame.

"It's been mad. I haven't had any sleep, I've been so tired. I'm on a massive high and I'm so excited. I still can't believe it's happening.

"I've got children asking for my autograph. I suppose I should get a signature worked out but it feels really odd.

"I came out of the studios last night and there were all these girls outside doing the knee dance," she said.

The IT consultant thought presenter Davina McCall had got it wrong when she announced that Kate was the winner.

"I thought she made a mistake. I thought 'No, you're supposed to say Jonny'. I thought Jonny was going to win. I was just so excited about coming second that I hadn't even thought about it."

She said 29-year-old firefighter Jonny Regan had no bad feelings towards her for scooping the £70,000 top prize.

"He said that he didn't care," she said. "He said he wanted it to be 'me and you' at the end and he really didn't care."She told GMTV that she did not normally drink as much as she did in the house.

"I don't usually drink a lot in the outside world but we were given so much alcohol.

"It was funny, I don't have any regrets about what went on," she said.
