Jowell: Yes, we often talk rubbish

Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell today accuses her Cabinet colleagues of speaking in goobledegook and New Labour jargon.

Ms Jowell says ministers must "cut the crap" if they are to connect with voters in the election campaign. "We are all guilty of this, myself included," she tells the Financial Times.

She says she keeps a "little book of bollocks" to record ministers' offending phrases, including " sustainable eating in schools" and "weaning the profile".
