Jackson acts to win 'killer' total pardon

New Zealand movie director Peter Jackson - known for the Lord of the Rings trilogy - said today he was working with a former death row inmate to win him a complete pardon.

Jackson brought American Damien Echols, convicted in 1993 of killing three boys, to visit him in New Zealand. New evidence led to a lesser plea this year. Jackson, right, said Echols was innocent.
