Hundreds offer home to canine escaper

13 April 2012

Hundreds of people were today offering a home to the Harry Houdini of the canine world.

A stray lurcher, named Red, learned how to unbolt his cage door at London's Battersea Dogs' Home. The pet would break out at night and then release other dogs.

Amy Watson, communications officer for the home, said today: "We have had more than 300 calls so far and expect more over the course of this week."
