Horlick bids for Trocadero

CITY 'Superwoman' Nicola Horlick has made a bid of up to £220m for the London Trocadero, which is being auctioned by Burford, the property group controlled by Lehman Brothers.

According to The Business newspaper, the offer was made through her new investment group, Brandean Asset Management.

Horlick famously confronted two gun-toting burglars outside her multi-million pound house in Chelsea last month. She threw her £50,000 ring into the garden when the bandit pistol-whipped her, pinned her to the ground and demanded she hand over her jewellery. The thieves escaped with nothing.

The bid for the Trocadero, which comprises 500,000 square feet of prime retail space in London's Leicester Square would be the first successful investment for the real estate arm of the Knightsbridge-based Bramdean.
