Prince Harry has asked his girlfriend Chelsy Davy to marry him - and she has said yes.

The Prince finally popped the question when the couple were on a recent safari break in Botswana according to the Sunday Mirror.

However, they do not intend to become officially engaged until Chelsy finishes her post-graduate course in politics at Leeds University and Harry has served the Army overseas.

Blonde Zimbabwean Chelsy, who is currently recuperating after an emergency appendix operation, is said to be planning on spending weekends with Harry at Highgrove in Gloucestershire when she moves to Leeds next month.

A friend of Chelsy's was quoted as saying that Harry "has come to realise that what he and Chelsy have is pretty special."

The couple have decided to keep Chelsy out of the public eye as much as possible with her not planning on being by his side at the upcoming Princess Diana's memorial service.

Meanwhile Harry's brother Prince William is on a make-or-break holiday with Kate Middleton at an undisclosed location in the Indian Ocean.
