Harry Potter producer's building work spells trouble for £11million Pimlico home

The producer of the Harry Potter films has left neighbours less than enchanted, after building work at his Grade II-listed house caused "unbearable disruption".

The £11million Pimlico home of David Heyman, 49, and his interior designer wife Rose Uniacke, has been undergoing renovations since 2008.

Work at the Gothic house - nicknamed Hogwarts by some of the neighbours - including the drilling of geothermal boreholes and the installation of a whirlpool spa pump, has prompted complaints to Westminster council.

A resident of flats next door said: "The noise has been unbearable and the work has been going on far too long. My kitchen wall was accidentally knocked through by builders. They also cracked some rendering. Both problems have been solved but were a major inconvenience."

Another neighbour at the flats said: "The noise and general disruption have been antisocial in the extreme." Westminster said it had received seven complaints since 2008, but no planning regulations had been breached. Mr Heyman was unavailable for comment.
