12 April 2012

TELEVISION group Granada is set to raise its stake in Arsenal Football Club to almost 10%, it has been reported.

The group is also believed to be negotiating revised commercial rights which could centre around the north London club's new £400m stadium, in which Granada will invest £30m.

The move raises Granada's 5% stake, which it has held for two years, to 9.9%, according to the Sunday Telegraph. The newspaper reported that the new rights might include corporate hospitality and sponsorship deals.
