Government helps recruit 'escort girls'

An escort agency is advertising for £120-an-hour female workers on a Government job seekers' website, it has been revealed.

Christony Companions is seeking escorts whose duties include accompanying clients on dinner and theatre dates and other social engagements.

The Newcastle-based company denies its escorts may also offer a sex service. But in at least one case, a client paid £80 for a 30-minute sex session with one of its escorts, it is claimed.

The client makes the revelation on a separate website dedicated to punters' reviews of escorts.

His review begins: 'Entered flat and welcomed with a smile and some chat. Into bedroom, got business out of the way and then on to bed and undressing. Told that she was up for anything.' The man then describes in explicit detail how he had sex with the escort.

Clients hire the company's escorts on an hourly basis, starting from £120 for one hour up to £420 for four. There is also an overnight rate costing £650.

John Dockerty, owner of Christony Companions, said: 'The girls are paid for their time and companionship only.

'I act as an agent who represents them and they are self-employed. I can't dictate to them what they can and can't do.'

The Department for Work and Pensions, which runs the Jobcentre Plus websites, said the the advert was legal.

Last year, sex toy and lingerie company Ann Summers won a High Court battle against a ban by Jobcentres on its adverts.
