Glaxo hit by 'suicide' drug alert

GLAXOSMITHKLINE shares were depressed today as its controversial anti-depressant Seroxat, also known as Paxil, suffered a fresh attack.

The European Medicines Agency's advisory panel called for the drug, linked with suicide risks among young people, to carry stronger warnings.

The drugs giant's shares closed 11p lower at 1172p.
