FSA looks into Goshawk

THE Lloyd's market has passed files on the closure of Goshawk Insurance's Syndicate 102 to the Financial Services Authority, which co-regulates Lloyd's. The syndicate was closed to new business after heavy losses on the collapse of claims 'ambulance chaser' The Accident Group. The FSA will examine whether 102 should have written the business at all and if it had adequate capital. Goshawk (down 1/4p to 35 3/4p) now has a new chairman and chief executive.
