12 April 2012

The capital's reputation as a city of groundbreaking inventions is to be celebrated in a festival.

The Story of London returns for a second year with about 100 events, including £100,000 worth of projects backed by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Mayor Boris Johnson said the history of the capital was "full of pioneering bright sparks".

The Story of London takes place at venues across the city from 1 to 10 October. Go to www.london.gov.uk/storyoflondon
