Ericsson setback follows job losses

SWEDISH mobile phones giant Ericsson reported its ninth consecutive quarterly loss today with a 2.7bn kronor (£205m) setback in the second quarter, similar to last year's. The losses follow expensive job cuts that will reduce its workforce by 2004 to 47,000 from 61,000 at the beginning of this year.
