Equality watchdog is not so equal

The Equality and Human Rights Commission employs fewer older people than most organisations it monitors, a study revealed.

It also employs fewer young people than the national average. Just over one in 10 of its 452 staff are aged between 55 and 64, and less than three per cent are under 24; the national averages for these groups are 14 and 13 per cent respectively.
