DLR union announces summer strike dates

Strikes: DLR workers will hold industrial action this summer
12 April 2012

Members of the RMT union will hold three 24-hour strikes on the Docklands Light Railway.

The dispute concerns extra payments following the introduction of a third carriage to DLR trains.

They have been told not to work on July 23, July 27 and August 6, and not to work overtime on
July 22.

RMT general secretary Bob Crow said: "Our members on the DLR have shown once again that they are simply not prepared to take on more work and more responsibility without being properly compensated by the company."
