Clare Short rebels again

Tony Blair faced new pressure to sack Clare Short from his Cabinet today after she said the collapse of Saddam Hussein's regime was not worth the loss of a single life.

The International Development Secretary stepped out of line again as she briefed foreign journalists on the humanitarian crisis in Iraq.

She also refused to back Mr Blair's decision to send British troops to war.
