Cheryl is once again officially using her maiden name Tweedy, the father of her child Liam Payne has said.

Speaking on BBC Radio 1Xtra, the former 1D star confirmed his girlfriend had officially reverted back to using her maiden name.

She initially used the name of footballer ex-husband Ashley Cole and latterly that of Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini after the pair married in 2014.

The former 1D hunk was asked if he is annoyed that people still refer to his partner as Cheryl Cole.

Payne, who has a baby son Bear with the singer, said: "Her name is officially Cheryl Tweedy now, but to be honest it doesn't really bother me, we have a kid together, there's a lot more to our life."

He added that he is not sure if he and Cheryl will get married as he is "not a religious person".
