Cherie and Euan keep West End show waiting

Cherie Blair, her son Euan and his girlfriend held up a West End performance by arriving late.

Producers kept the curtain down at the Apollo Theatre, where Warren Mitchell is starring in The Price, until after the Downing Street party appeared on Wednesday.

A theatregoer said: "We were kept waiting for half an hour. As you can imagine, everyone was extremely annoyed." It is believed Mrs Blair was tending to her husband who had complained of stomach pains.

The group arrived 15 minutes late. It is believed Mr Blair had also been due at the theatre but he remained at home in Downing Street.
