Casino luck turns against Stanley

FEWER than a dozen high-rolling gamblers walked out of Crockfords with almost £11m more in winnings last summer than they had the summer before.

Britain's biggest casino company, Stanley Leisure, said that its Crockfords operation in Mayfair merely broke even in the six months to end-September, against a £10.6m profit a year earlier.

Group pre-tax profits dropped 13% to £21.5m
