Bullish Bellway set to top targets

HOUSEBUILDER Bellway has given investors a lift, boasting that it's on course to top profit forecasts after hitting sales targets early. The company, due to post results in October, said it had hit its target of selling more than 6,000 homes for the first time, at an average selling price of more than £120,000.

'Demand remains strong across the country giving us an increase in forward reservations over this time last year,' the company said. The results for the year ended July 'should exceed current market expectations with new records in turnover, profit before tax and earnings per ordinary share'.
