Briton dies from legionnaires'

A British man has died after he contracted legionnaires' disease during a European tour with his troupe of morris dancers.

Peter Taylor, 63, a member of the East Kent Morris Dancers, was on a trip to France and Belgium with his 10-man group when it is believed he was infected while staying in a French hotel.

Two other people on the trip also felt unwell with similar symptoms, although neither of them became seriously ill.

Mr Taylor, who was married, was admitted to Ashford's William Harvey Hospital last Thursday after returning to his home in St Mary's Bay, near Folkestone. He died in hospital on Sunday.
