British teenager is raped in Croatia

A teenage holidaymaker from Britain was brutally raped after leaving a nightclub party with a team of water polo players.

The 18-year-old girl was at the Carpe Diem bar at the island resort of Hvar in Croatia with a girlfriend before the attack, according to local reports. She is in hospital in nearby Split.
