Britain's snappiest dresser

Snappy dresser: Scott Maslen
13 April 2012

TV actor Scott Maslen is Britain's best dressed man, it was announced today.

He said: "My on-screen character, DS Hunter, has helped to win this award as it's his style that people have seen me wearing on screen and probably voted for."

The 30-year-old actor, who grew up in south-east London, added: "Off screen I tend to dress more casually, but if it's a special event then I always make an effort."

Maslen, a former Royal Marine and one time model, picked up his award at London's Ritz Hotel.

Maurice Helfgott, director of menswear at high street chain Marks & Spencer, which sponsored the award, said: "While the adage that clothes make the man is undoubtedly as relevant today as it ever was, this award is concerned with the whole man, his attitude and grooming and not simply his clothes."

Maslen won a selection of clothes from Marks & Spencer along with the award.
