Biggam stands behind BAE board

DEFENCE systems group BAE Systems moved to quash growing rumours of a boardroom split. Senior non-executive director Sir Robin Biggam, who had been reported as leading one of the factions, said: 'Recent Press speculation about board divisions at the company has been ill-informed and totally wrong.
'I am pleased to confirm that the non-executive directors of the company have complete confidence in the executive directors. We believe that this is the best team to deal with the immediate issues facing the company and to take the company forward.'
