Baby joy for Reese

Reese Witherspoon has given birth to a son. The star, 27, and actor husband Ryan Phillippe, 29, named him Deacon Phillippe.

The couple were said to be "delighted" after the birth last Thursday. Witherspoon's publicist said: "The family are all back home and doing very well."

The couple met on the set of Cruel Intentions and wed in June 1999. They also have a daughter, Ava, four.
