Are you getting enough?

Are you drinking enough water? Today is the day to ask yourself that very question. National Drink Water Day is aimed at getting us to drink at least 2 litres of water a day (that doesn't include those cups of tea and coffee you've already knocked back).

How can you drink more water? The National Kidney Research Fund is asking you to substitute your normal preferred beverage for a plain glass of water. By doing so you can reduce the risk of urinary infection, bladder cancer and kidney stones.

Make sure you're sticking to the 2 litre-a-day rule by keeping a big bottle of water on your desk. That way you can easily monitor how much you're drinking.

A good way to test if you're drinking enough is to check the colour of your urine - a very pale yellow colour is a good sign.
