AMP cashflow soars to £36.6m

AUSTRALIAN insurer and fund manager AMP said today its cashflow rose sharply in the first quarter, signalling a solid start to the year following the spin-off of its lossmaking British units, now trading as HHG.

AMP's financial services business reported net cashflows for the quarter of A$88m (£36.6m), compared with net outflows of A$266m last year.
