Aim set for record month of listings

13 April 2012

DESPITE signs of trouble for Virgin Mobile on the Stock Exchange, flotations on the junior Aim market will break all records this month, it emerged today.

A total of 25 companies worth more than £750m have already listed, including advertising group M&C Saatchi, PD Ports and BetonSports.

A further 25 have applied to be listed on the market in the next fortnight. Aim is also attracting 50% bigger businesses this month than has traditionally been the case, according to website Digital-Look.com.

Younger businesses have been attracted to Aim by its lighter regulatory touch and the strengthening of investors' appetite for its companies.
