Adrian Chiles is threatening to quit the BBC's One Show over plans to replace him on Friday nights with Chris Evans.

The presenter is said to be furious at the decision even though he has been offered his own chat show as a consolation.

Evans, 43, would be brought in to anchor an extended Friday show alongside Chiles's
co-host Christine Bleakley, 31.

But Chiles, 42, has said he does not want anyone else on the sofa with Bleakley.

He is said to have rejected "a massive offer" that includes a Friday night show on BBC2.
