Adams: Let's take guns out of politics

13 April 2012

Sinn Fein is opposed to the use or the threat of force in any political process, its leader Gerry Adams claimed today.

In one of a series of moves designed to bolster the peace process, the Sinn Fein leader said his party had a "total and absolute commitment" to exclusively democratic and peaceful means to settle differences.

"We are opposed to any use of or the threat of force in the political process,"
he said.

"Sinn Fein wants to see all guns taken out of the situation."
