Abba fans go glam for 02’s mamma mia!

Julia Kennard12 April 2012

A one-off screening of Mamma Mia! on a 100ft screen turned the 02 arena into a giant hen party.

Many wore Abba costumes, accompanied by long blonde wigs for the film version of the stage musical. The giant screen was installed for what was billed as the "biggest sing-along ever".

The film has grossed more than £69 million at the UK box office and has been seen by 4.6 million people in London.

The entire London cast of the stage show gave a special performance to the 02 audience before yesterday's screenings, in the afternoon and evening.

Laura Mather, 39, an IT manager from Blackheath, who wore a mini dress and pink fake eyelashes, said: "We were singing our hearts out."
