AB Ports on growth course

THE core UK ports and transport business of Associated British Ports has grown by 5% in the past year, led by the roll-on-roll-off trade and deep-sea container traffic, and topped up by visits by cruise liners.

In a trading statement today the group said pre-tax profit for the year ending this month should be in line with market expectations of £138.3m.
