50 Cent for Tyson's mansion

13 April 2012

Superstar rapper 50 Cent has bought Mike Tyson's mansion for a bargain £2.5million - almost £13million less than the original asking price.

The 27-year-old gangsta rapper, who has been shot and stabbed several times, bought the estate in Connecticut from the former heavyweight champion's ex-wife Monica Turner Tyson last week. Debt-ridden Tyson initially put the 61-room mansion - nestled in the rich and conservative town of Farmington - on the market for about £15million. But then he was forced to hand it over to Monica for just 60p as part of their bitter divorce settlement.

Local real-estate agent Bob Lane said: 'The rich tend to keep themselves tucked away. Unless something erupts, the guy's welcome. It will be interesting.'
