Residents of the Battersea Power Station development have spotted rock royalty Sting making himself at home there.

The singer, who has a passion for property, was one of the first to snap up an apartment at the site when they came on to the market in 2014, saying the scheme had “a kind of austere beauty”.

Sting and his film producer wife Trudie Styler have just sold a sprawling NYC duplex penthouse, in Central Park West, for £36.8 million, having bought in 2008 for £19.9 million.

They now have a flat at 520 West 28th Street, the boutique residential building designed inside and out by the late British architect Dame Zaha Hadid, with a 75ft sky-lit pool on a “wellness floor” that also has a gym and a 24-hour juice bar.
