Sir Patrick Stewart has sold Scar Top House, his holiday home in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, just over a month after putting it on the market.

The Star Trek actor, who is currently filming as Professor Charles Xavier for the next X-Men movie with Australian star Hugh Jackman, owned the Grade II-listed four-bedroom farmhouse for 25 years. It sold for £535,000.
